Tuition Reimbursement & Development
Joyner invests in your education. The Tuition Reimbursement program helps eligible associates fund job-related degrees, certifications, and professional development — because your growth is our growth.
The Joyner Tuition Reimbursement Program supports eligible full-time associates who are pursuing accredited degree programs, professional certifications, or job-relevant coursework. We believe that an investment in your education is an investment in the future of Joyner — and we back that belief with real dollars. Reimbursement is available for tuition, required textbooks, and mandatory course fees.

1
Submit a Pre-Approval Request to HR
Before enrolling in any course, email
hr@myjoyner.com with the course name, institution, cost, and how the coursework relates to your current role or career path at Joyner. Pre-approval must be granted before you enroll — retroactive approvals are not available.
2
Complete the Course & Earn a Qualifying Grade
You must complete the course and earn a grade of C or better (or the equivalent passing grade for pass/fail courses). Grades below this threshold are not eligible for reimbursement, regardless of pre-approval.
3
Submit Reimbursement Request Within 60 Days
Within 60 days of completing the course, submit your reimbursement request to HR with: your official grade transcript or grade report, itemized tuition invoice or receipt, and proof of payment. Requests submitted after 60 days may not be honored.
4
Reimbursement Is Processed via Payroll
Approved reimbursements are paid through payroll within two pay periods of approval. Up to $5,250 per calendar year is tax-free under current IRS rules. Amounts above that threshold are treated as taxable income.
Associates who receive tuition reimbursement and voluntarily leave Joyner within a defined period after receiving payment are required to repay a portion of the reimbursement. This agreement must be signed before reimbursement is issued.
Leave within 12 months
100% of the reimbursement amount is repayable if you voluntarily separate within 12 months of receiving payment.
Leave within 13–24 months
50% of the reimbursement amount is repayable if you voluntarily separate between 13 and 24 months after payment.
Remain 24+ months
No repayment required after 24 months of continued employment following each reimbursement payment.
Repayment obligations do not apply in cases of layoff, reduction in force, or involuntary separation without cause. Contact HR for details specific to your situation.
In addition to external tuition reimbursement, Joyner associates have free access to Joyner University — our internal learning management system powered by WordPress and LearnDash.
