Your health is your most valuable asset — more valuable than any vehicle, route, or contract. Joyner is committed to supporting it in every way we can, inside and outside of work.
Why Your Health Matters to Us
A healthy associate is an engaged associate — and an engaged associate is what makes Joyner great. We know that the demands of logistics and transportation can take a toll on your body and mind. Long shifts, physical labor, time pressures, and time away from family are real challenges. That is why Joyner goes beyond health insurance to actively support your wellness with practical resources, workplace tips, and a culture that values rest, movement, and mental clarity just as much as performance.
Use this page to explore healthy habits you can build today, access your health benefits, and set personal health goals that keep you motivated.

Workplace Wellness Tips
Take a Walking Break
A 10-minute walk during your shift or lunch break improves circulation, clears your mind, and reduces fatigue. Even a short loop around the building makes a difference.
Breathing Exercises
Box breathing — inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4 — activates your parasympathetic nervous system and reduces stress in under two minutes. Try it before a difficult conversation or a long drive.
Ergonomic Workstation Setup
If you work at a desk, your monitor should be at eye level, your elbows at 90 degrees, and your feet flat on the floor. A well-set-up workstation prevents back pain, neck strain, and carpal tunnel over time.
Protect Your Sleep
Sleep deprivation is one of the leading causes of workplace accidents — especially for drivers. Aim for 7 to 9 hours. If you are struggling with sleep, talk to your doctor or access EAP counseling resources.
Stay Hydrated
Dehydration reduces concentration, energy, and mood — all critical for safety-sensitive roles. Keep a water bottle at your station or in your cab and aim for at least 8 glasses a day, more in heat or physical roles.
Stretch & Mobilize
For warehouse workers and drivers, simple stretches for the lower back, hamstrings, and shoulders can prevent chronic pain and injury. A 5-minute stretch routine at the start of a shift goes a long way.
Protect Your Mental Health
If you are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally drained, that is a health signal — not a weakness. Talk to someone. Access the EAP, take a mental health day, or reach out to HR. Your mind matters as much as your body.
Reduce Noise Exposure
Prolonged exposure to loud environments can cause hearing loss over time. If your role involves machinery or high-decibel environments, always use your PPE hearing protection. Your hearing is irreplaceable.
Eat Well on the Road
For drivers and field associates, healthy eating on the go is possible. Choose protein-rich snacks, limit high-sugar energy drinks, and try to eat balanced meals rather than skipping. What you fuel yourself with affects how you drive, think, and feel.
