When do I need to involve Legal Services before signing a contract?
All contracts, agreements, statements of work, and vendor arrangements must go through Legal Services for review and approval before execution. This includes NDAs, service agreements, partnership documents, and any document that creates a legal obligation for Joyner. Submit your contract using the “Request Contract Review or Approval” Quick Link. Allow 3–5 business days for standard review. Urgent reviews should be flagged when submitting.
How do I report a legal issue, dispute, or potential litigation matter?
Any legal issue, dispute, threatened claim, or potential litigation must be reported to Legal Services immediately using the “Submit a Legal Support Request” Quick Link or by calling (877) 240-9784. Do not attempt to resolve legal disputes independently or communicate with opposing parties or their legal representation without first consulting Legal Services.
How does Legal Services support other departments as General Counsel?
Legal Services provides ongoing general counsel support to Financial Services, Corporate Communications, HR & Employee Care, Information Technology, Property & Facilities, and Health & Safety. Each supported department has access to dedicated legal guidance for day-to-day matters. If you are unsure whether your department’s issue falls within this scope, submit a general request and the team will route it appropriately.
How do I request a trademark, copyright, or intellectual property review?
IP and trademark matters including new product names, marketing materials, branding changes, and copyright questions should be submitted through the “Submit a Legal Support Request” Quick Link with the IP category selected. Legal Services manages Joyner’s full trademark and copyright portfolio and can advise on registration, usage rights, and infringement concerns.
How do I transfer or reassign an existing contract to a new party?
Contract transfer requests must be submitted using the “Transfer of Contract Request” Quick Link on the right sidebar. Include the contract name, current parties, the proposed new party, and the reason for transfer. Legal Services will review the original agreement, assess assignability, and coordinate any required consents or amendments before the transfer is finalized.
