Corporate Security

The safety of our people, our property, and our information is a shared responsibility. Every Joyner associate plays a role in maintaining a secure working environment.

Corporate Security & Facilities
(877) 240-9784
Mon – Fri, 8AM – 5PM ET
Emergency? Call 9-1-1 Immediately.

Always use your personal cell phone or a hard-line phone — never a softphone. Softphones do not transmit your location to emergency services. Using a softphone in an emergency could delay critical response.

Urgent but not an emergency? Contact Corporate Security directly at (877) 240-9784 for immediate non-emergency security situations, including escort requests.

ID Badge Policy — Required at All Times

All Joyner associates, contractors, and authorized visitors are required to wear their Joyner-issued ID badge visibly at all times while in any Joyner-owned or Joyner-leased facility. This applies to all areas including lobbies, offices, warehouses, and operational hubs.

If you see someone in a Joyner facility without a visible badge, do not ignore it. Politely ask if you can help them, or notify Corporate Security. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect our team and our facilities.

Badges must be visible above the waist at all times — not in pockets, bags, or turned face-down
Lost or damaged badges must be reported immediately to Administrative Services
Temporary badges are available at the front desk for authorized visitors
Do not allow others to tailgate through secured doors using your badge access

Escort Requests

Request a Security Escort to Your Vehicle

Any associate who feels unsafe walking to their vehicle — at any time of day — can request a security escort. Call (877) 240-9784 and a Corporate Security team member will accompany you.

No explanation required. Your safety is always the priority.

Emergency Phone Reminder

Never Call 9-1-1 from a Softphone

Joyner uses softphone technology (Teams Phone, VoIP) throughout our facilities. In a true emergency, do not use a softphone to call 9-1-1. Softphones do not transmit precise location data to emergency dispatchers — meaning first responders may not know where you are.

Use your personal cell phone — always transmits your GPS location
Use a hard-line phone if available — transmits the registered building address
Do not use Teams Phone, VoIP, or any softphone to call emergency services
After calling 9-1-1, notify your manager and Corporate Security at (877) 240-9784

Building a Security-First Culture

Physical security at Joyner is not the sole responsibility of Corporate Security or Administrative Services — it is a shared obligation that every associate, contractor, and visitor carries the moment they enter a Joyner facility. The most effective security programs in the world fail when individuals become passive bystanders. Joyner’s approach is the opposite: every person in our facilities is an active participant in keeping them safe.

Badge Up — Always
Your ID badge is your access credential and your identity verification. Wear it visibly above the waist at all times in any Joyner facility. If you see someone without a badge, politely engage them or notify security immediately.
No Tailgating
Never allow someone to follow you through a secured door without using their own credential. Tailgating is one of the most common methods used to gain unauthorized access to facilities. One credential, one entry.
See Something, Say Something
Unattended bags, unfamiliar vehicles, broken locks, damaged cameras, suspicious behavior — report it. Use the Security Vulnerability form above or call (877) 240-9784. There is no penalty for a good-faith report.
Secure Your Workspace
Lock your computer when you step away — even briefly. Do not leave sensitive documents, keys, or access devices unattended. Shred documents containing personal or proprietary information rather than recycling.
Visitor Management
All visitors must be registered at the front desk and issued a temporary visitor badge. You are responsible for your guest while they are in the facility. Do not leave visitors unescorted in secured areas at any time.
After-Hours Access
After-hours facility access requires pre-authorization from your manager. If you need after-hours access for a project or operational need, contact Administrative Services in advance — do not assume your badge will work outside normal hours.

Joyner’s Physical Security Infrastructure

Joyner operates a layered physical security program across all company-owned, leased, and co-working locations. These systems work in concert with associate awareness to maintain a safe environment.

CCTV & Video Surveillance
All Joyner-owned facilities operate continuous video surveillance covering entry and exit points, parking areas, loading docks, and common spaces. Footage is retained per security policy and may be used in incident investigations.
Access Control Systems
Badge-controlled access points restrict entry to authorized personnel only. Access levels are assigned based on role and location. Lost or stolen badges must be reported immediately — access will be suspended and a replacement issued.
Alarm & Intrusion Detection
Motion-activated alarms and intrusion detection systems protect facilities outside of business hours. If you accidentally trigger an alarm, immediately contact Administrative Services at (877) 240-9784 with your name and badge number to prevent a false emergency response.
Security Audits & Inspections
Corporate Security conducts periodic security audits of all Joyner facilities to identify gaps, test compliance with badge and access policies, and verify the condition of physical security equipment. Associates may be asked to participate in tabletop exercises or drills as part of this program.
