Corporate Citizenship
Joyner believes that business, done right, serves the greater good. Our corporate citizenship commitment goes far beyond compliance — it is baked into who we are, how we operate, and how we give back.

Why Corporate Citizenship Matters at Joyner

From the moment Lonnell Joyner used his personal minivan to drive neighbors to doctor appointments, Joyner has been a community-first organization. That mission has never changed. Today, with more than 7,500 customers served each week across 15+ products, our responsibility to our communities, our workforce, our environment, and our ethical standards is greater than ever — and we take it seriously.

Corporate citizenship at Joyner is not a PR strategy. It is a lived commitment — reflected in our MyCommunity initiative, our environmental stewardship efforts, our workforce protections, and our unwavering ethics standards.

MyCommunity — Community Giving & Volunteering

Our Three Pillars of Giving

MyCommunity launched in 2021 with a commitment to give back in three key ways — and that commitment still guides everything we do.

  • Non-Profit & Charity Sponsorship — Financial contributions and grants supporting nonprofit organizations and charitable causes that align with Joyner's values.
  • Community Volunteering — Joyner team members show up in person, donating time and hands-on effort to the neighborhoods and causes we care about.
  • Blessing Boxes & Food Drives — Direct, tangible support for individuals and families facing food insecurity in the communities Joyner serves.

Volunteer Time Off (VTO)

16 Hours of Paid Volunteer Time Per Year

Every full-time Joyner associate receives 16 hours of paid Volunteer Time Off each calendar year to volunteer with the nonprofit organization of their choosing. VTO is Joyner's way of investing in the communities our team members care about.

  • VTO must be requested through WFM in advance and approved by your direct manager
  • Associates may use VTO hours in increments — they do not need to be taken all at once
  • VTO is available to all full-time associates after 90 days of employment
  • Qualifying organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits
  • We encourage you to wear Joyner gear and take photos — tag Joyner on social media and send photos to mrkg@myjoyner.com so we can celebrate your impact
Request VTO
Submit your volunteer time off request through the WFM system the same way you submit PTO. Select "Volunteer Time Off" as the leave type.
Matching Gift Program
Joyner matches personal charitable contributions by eligible associates to approved nonprofit organizations. Submit a matching gift request to HR with your donation receipt.

Workforce Safety, Well-Being & Inclusion

Strict adherence to OSHA and FMCSA safety compliance, ergonomic workstation standards, mandatory ANSI Class 2 high-visibility gear in all operational environments, and Stop-Work Authority for every associate.
Equal Opportunity & Diversity
Fair labor practices, inclusive hiring across all corporate and field roles, and clear advancement pathways for every team member regardless of background.
Driver & Warehouse Health
Access to wellness initiatives, health screenings, and mental health resources tailored for operational and on-the-road personnel through our EAP and benefits programs.

Ethics, Integrity & Governance

Code of Business Conduct
Access Joyner's official Code of Conduct — covering ethics policies, anti-corruption rules, and fair competition guidelines for all associates.
Ethics Hotline & Whistleblower Protection
Confidential reporting for compliance concerns or safety violations — with full protection against retaliation for anyone who reports in good faith.
Data Privacy & Trust
Customer, carrier, and employee data is protected through Microsoft Entra identity management and M365 compliance protocols — privacy is built into how we operate.

Corporate citizenship starts with you.

Every associate plays a role. Use your VTO, wear your Joyner gear, and show up for the communities we serve.
