The supervisor discusses the changes with the Human Resources Department and the supervisor's leadership before taking any action.
For salary range position corrections, the supervisor reviews the relationship of the employee's salary and experience to others in a similar job in the department and determines the amount to be given.
The supervisor (or Department Secretary) completes a "Miscellaneous Transaction - Manager/Alternate Manager" transaction within Manager's Self Service.
The Miscellaneous Transaction will result in a system generated email notification to the employee's immediate supervisor. This email documents data fields included on the transaction. The supervisor should verify the data is correct.
A copy of the system-generated email can be given to the employee when the supervisor discusses the salary adjustment with the employee.
The Human Resources Department is responsible for assuring that salary administrators are fully trained and knowledgeable of all facets of this policy.
The Human Resources Department assists with the adjustment amount to be given.
