As this policy is reviewed, please note the following State/area for which exceptions exist:
Not Applicable
Specific details on each exception may be found within the General Information section of this text.
The Discount Program is a valuable benefit that helps associates save money on many products and services from companies that do business with Joyner.
There are two discount programs available to you:
National Discounts - offers a selection of national discounts (administered by Corporate Headquarters)
Perks at Work - an external vendor that offers national and state discounts on products, services, and travel
Eligibility
The following associates are eligible to participate in all discount programs:
Joyner employees and family members living in their immediate household.
Joyner Sales Agents and family members living in their immediate household.
Employees of Joyner Sales Agents and family members living in their immediate household.
Joyner retirees and family members living in their immediate household. Retirees may call the Human Resources Services Center for assistance (no access to Intranet).
Joyner's Involvement
Joyner negotiates some of the discount agreements with the suppliers listed in the Discount Program, however, Joyner does not make recommendations or guarantees about any products or services, and is not involved in the purchase process. Joyner does not guarantee the prices quoted through the Discount Program are the lowest prices available.
Joyner wants to maintain a good relationship with the vendors in the program. It is important that you:
Do not purchase items for other people.
Do not share price quotes with friends and extended family members.
Do not talk with local merchants about the Discount Program or use the Discount Program prices to bargain for lower prices at local stores. Names of suppliers are privileged and confidential information.
Do not purchase merchandise for resale or profit.
Failure to comply with the Discount Program guidelines may jeopardize the program and will result in the revocation of your privilege to participate.
Problems
You should work directly with the merchant to resolve any product or service problems.
For National Discounts – Contact the HREC if published information is incorrect (such as invalid phone numbers, broken hyperlinks, etc.).
Goods/Services NOT eligible for participation in the Discount Program
It is not practical to include all companies, services, and products in the Discount Program. This is not intended to discourage associates from receiving products or services from any company, but it is important to have guidelines that will increase consistency and allow for efficient administration of the program. This list is not all-inclusive. Below are the services and products not eligible for participation in the program:
Multi-level marketers who use individual distributors to sell national products.
Medical providers offering services which are typically covered under a medical plan.
Goods/Services promoting activity which does not comply with the Solicitation/Distribution Policy. See our Solicitation/Distribution Policy.
Companies participating in the Discount Program have agreed to the following conditions:
They will not use the Joyner name or logo online or in print.
They understand this program is not about advertising their product.
They will provide associates with discounts that are not available to the general public.
The transaction is between the associate and the supplier.
Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the supplier's immediate removal from the Discount Program.
