Welcome to Atlanta – Operations Center We are glad that you are here. As a new employee of the building, please take a moment to read through this beneficial guide and familiarize yourself with the facility guidelines and services we offer. We take great pride in our facility and hope you will too. Our goal in Administrative Services is to provide you with outstanding service.
We appreciate you reading this handbook carefully to familiarize yourself with our operations, regulations, and services. If you have any questions after reviewing it please contact a member of management or the building or site administrator.
Building Address
Should you forget your ID badge, you are required to go building or office administrator. You must provide personal identification to the building or office administrator. You will be issued a temporary badge for the day. All temporary badges must be returned to the office or building administrator at the end of the day.
Building Entry
The Building has one main point of entry through the front lobby. Anyone without an ID badge must report directly to the building or office administrator.
Visitors Joyner Transportation has established a “Restricted Building Access Policy” which enhances the security of all Joyner Transportation facilities. This policy requires visitors to register upon entering a Joyner Transportation facility. All visitors ages 16 and older are requires to sign in with the building or office administrator and present a government issued photo identification before being granted access to the building. Visitors will be given a temporary visitors badge that must be visible that must be visibly displayed at all times Their temporary visitor badge must be returned to the building or office administrator at the end of the day.
Workplace Safety
At Joyner Transportation, we are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers, and preserving our assets. Joyner Transportation and employees share this responsibility. As a result, the following safety tips are offered:
If you do not feel safe walking to your car, try to walk in groups or notify the building or office administrator to arrange an escort to your car.
Report any unsafe situations or make suggestions to improving safety to
your supervisor or manager.
If you experience a work related injury or illness, promptly notify management, seek medical care, and complete the Incident Report for. If
someone needs emergency medical attention call 911. Contact the building or office administrator immediately to make them aware to expect emergency personnel. Please inform them of the name and location of the person needing medical help.
The Workplace Security Policy strictly prohibits activities that suggest violence while on or using Joyner Transportation property., or while on company business. These activities include but not limited to:
Intimidation
Making threats
Making jokes or offensive comments regarding violent acts
Bullying
Exhibiting threatening behaviors
Engaging in a violent act
Coming a crime
Possessing a firearm or other weapon on company property, while using Joyner Transportation property, or while on company business.
Notify Joyner Transportation of any employee-initiated restraining order or order of protection that lists a Joyner Transportation location as a protected area, or identifies any individual who should not enter a Joyner Transportation location. Provide Human Resources with a copy of the restraining order or order of protection.
Procedure for Handling Workplace Threats
If a threat is received or an employee feels threatened:
Seek safety if you are in immediate danger, call 911 as soon as you can,
and alert others who may be in immediate danger.
Report this information to management, so they can alert others as
appropriate and seek additional guidance.
If management is not available, contact the building or office
administrator or Human Resources. Human resources can be reached by calling 800-572-1524; select option 5.
Record as much information as possible about the situation and complete
a threat report.
Stay in contact with your management, building or office administrator
or Human Resources until the situation is no longer an immediate threat.
Let your management know if any situation continues to be a concern.
Joyner Transportation employees that require assistance in the event of a building evacuation should notify management immediately.
Should the need arise to close the business/ offices or operations due to inclement weather; employees will be notified via Phone Call and or Text Message. Each employee is responsible for ensuring their personal contact information on record is current.
In cases where severe storms or inclement weather would affect the safety of employees traveling to and from work, employees should communicate with their immediate supervisors or managers the inability to travel safely.
In the case of severe weather occurring while employees are at work, management will monitor conditions closely and inform employees as needed.
Possessing a firearm or other weapon on Company property, while using Joyner Transportation property or while on company business, is strictly prohibited as stated the Code of Conduct.
Note: this does not apply to security personnel, law enforcement officer
Personal Protection Devices
Joyner Transportation does not prohibit the carrying of defense sprays as personal protection devices. Defense sprays have the potential to cause accidental harm to the owner if not used properly. Employees are responsible for complying with any laws or regulations governing the use.
Stun guns in tazers are strictly prohibited on Joyner Transportation Property or while conducting Joyner Transportation business.
Specific oversize vehicle may not park in the parking lot due to height constraints and size of parking lot. If an attempt is made to park one of
these vehicles and damage results, neither Joyner Transportation nor landlord will be responsible.
You must have a valid accessible parking designation the Department of Motor Vehicles in or on your vehicle in order to park in a space designated for handicap accessible parking.
The Landlord has the right to tow unauthorized vehicles at this sole risk
and expense of the owner
No vehicles will be allowed to be loaded, unloaded or parked in areas other than those designated for such activities.
Every employee is required to park and lock their own vehicle. The Landlord will not responsible for any damage is done to vehicles, injury to persons, or the loss of property, all of which risks are assumed by the
party using the parking areas.
Should you experience damage or vandalism to your vehicle parked on the premises please help to make wrecker of the incident by completing
an incident report.
While parked on Joyner transportation owned or leased property a parking tag/badge is required to be displayed in your windshield, failure to do so may result in your vehicle being told by Joyner transportation
and or property Landlord.

property, including employees, external/ contracted associates, vendors,
and visitors. Employees may not report to work, remain at work, or operate Company provided vehicles while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Alcohol or drug use may impair an employee’s fitness for work and affect the safety, health, and welfare of other employees. Failure to meet basic expectations in fitness for work may jeopardize an employee’s continued employment with Joyner Transportation. Additional information can be reviewed in the substance-abuse policy.
Employees are encouraged to always recycle items they wish to
dispose. Non- recycle items to be placed in trash baskets, however, food and drink
waste must be disposed in the break room.
Immediately report a food or beverage spill on the carpet to the building or office administrator.
are a break areas available to consume meals and food. Refrigerators are cleaned out on the last Friday of each month and
crockpots, hot plates, and coffee makers are permitted to be used
only in break rooms. Please be mindful of what you cook/heat in the microwave.
Please avoid burning popcorn, etc. cover your food, and clean up
any spills.
If you’re in the multi-tenant facility, please be respectful of other tenants, who may not be having celebrations or who may not maybe customers or
potential customers
Be considerate of your fellow employees as you think about potential
celebrations or events, as not all employees celebrate the same holidays
or occasions.
Consult with the building or office administrator if you have questions
about having a celebration that will utilize the break areas and/or
common areas that would occur during work hours, between shifts, or
any event that would potentially impact time worked.
Please avoid the following:
Using Scotch Tape on painted walls. Using any live plants, corn stalks, or hay bales, etc. Hanging electrical/ holiday lights from trees, wreaths, etc.
Hanging decorations from the ceiling.
Blocking aisle ways or doors with decorations or other items.
Leaving food items out on tables, in general work areas overnight. Leaving balloons after hours due to the potential of interference with
proper security alarm function
Custom Guidelines Should you choose to recognize a holiday or event by wearing unconventional attire (costumes), employees should follow the dress code philosophy based on guidelines for safety and personal appearance, and professionalism. In regards to events where costumes are worn, we request the following guidelines be followed:
Costumes must be tasteful and not provocative. Costumes must not interfere with proper wearing and display of the
Joyner transportation badge.
Masks concealing identity may not be worn Costumes with prop weapons are prohibited
Your attention in compliance with these guidelines is expected and appreciated. Facility temperature The thermostats on our Joyner Transportation working environments are set at 72°. It is recommended that you plan to dress accordingly. Loitering/Cell Phone Use Please do not loiter or use cell phones in any main body including building entrance, or in parking lot. Cell Phone usage while operating Joyner Transportation equipment or vehicles is strictly prohibited. Lost and Found Joyner transportation makes every effort to provide a safe and secure working environment. Should you experience a loss of your personal or company item from your workspace, car or etc. Please notify the building or office administrator soon as possible. Your supervisor can assist you in completing an incident report. The best way to eliminate losses is by not leaving personal items and attended.
Please take any lost and found items to the building or office administrator.
If you have a need for general maintenance in your work area (example: a light bulb out, equipment failure, interior door malfunction etc.), please advise your department supervisor to submit a Maintenance Request Form.
